Flush & Transfer
Objective:
This study was undertaken to determine if Partnar’s new emP3 Complete Flush and Holding media would produce acceptable pregnancy rates using fresh in vivo produced embryo.
Materials and Methods
Drs Dan Hornickel and Chris Keim at Sunshine Genetics, Whitewater, WI flushed nine different Holstein donors during the period of November, 2007 and March 2008 where clients had requested the transfer of fresh embryos. A total of 83 transferable embryos were produced from these donors of which 46 were transferred fresh and 37 were frozen.
All donors were flushed with emP3 Complete Flush and the resultant embryo held in Partnar Holding Media prior to transfer or cryopreservation.
A total of 46 embryo were transferred into synchronized recipients, resulting in 30 pregnancies. The data is further summarized below.
